4520 Shared Workspace is the vision of a Samford Valley local, designed to support the growing community of professionals working from home. Chris’s goal was to create a collaborative and inspiring environment within Samford Village—a place where locals can connect, work, and foster meaningful collaboration.
The interior encourages both communal interaction and focused work. An island bench provides a natural gathering point, complemented by impactful wall murals and the soft layering of plants, while private office spaces ensure productivity and discretion when needed.
The colour palette draws from Samford Valley’s natural landscape, including trees, clay earth, and river stones, grounding the space in its local context. Copper pendant lighting has been carefully selected to age gracefully, adding warmth and enduring character over time.
Artistic expression plays a central role in defining the workspace’s identity. A Bruce Lee mural, requested by the client, adds energy and inspiration, while the Powerful Owl, a well-known Samford Valley symbol, celebrates local heritage. Both were created by the talented Samford-based artist Travis of Drapl Art, ensuring the space is deeply rooted in its community.
The result is a thoughtfully designed co-working space in Samford that balances functionality, creativity, and connection—bringing together community, collaboration, and contemporary design in a way that feels authentic to the valley.
