Light Modern Country Home

Samford Valley family of five, finally took the plunge to update their tired 1990’s home.  With a desire to lean into a modern country style that felt light and bright, a crisp palette was chosen complimented by minimal green and warm tones.

The ochre flecks throughout the kitchens marble splash back, timber laminate joinery in the laundry and warm furnishings reference the prominent curved brick wall that winds through the home.

Skylights were installed to increase the natural light and allow viewing of the passage of the day in what was a previously dark space.  The increase of light in the home has allowed the brick to have room to breath rather than feel oppressive.
